Situated between George and Sedgefield, Wilderness has “that holiday feeling” all-year-round.
The Outeniqua Mountains lie to the north and the Indian Ocean to the south with the Kaaimans River in the west and the Goukamma Nature Reserve in the east.
This beautiful village is just a short 10km from the city of George on the N2 over the Kaaimans River Pass, for easy access to shopping malls and other amenities.

In 2020, my family and myself were living in Johannesburg. Following the Covid pandemic, we’ve decided to completely change our life and leave the city for a quiet countryside lifestyle.
We’ve found a beautiful property on the Garden Route, famous for being one of the most magnificent natural environment in South Africa. The Garden Route is well known for its diverse vegetation, wildlife and abundance of lagoons, lakes, mountains, forest and beaches.
This region is well preserved from mass tourism and offers plenty of opportunities for activities along the way, from hiking to eco and whale watching, to visiting elephants sanctuaries, to exploring caves and deserted golden sandy beaches. This abundance of wilderness is giving this area an amazing charm.
Life has not always been simple for me, to the contrary, but here in the magic of Wilderness, I’ve started to feel alive once again and to empower myself emotionally and physically.
This environment is conducive to optimal well-being and fitness with a choice of different kind of activity in nature. The pure fresh air and beautiful setting of our little farm will enable you to take care of yourself, rest and rejuvenate but also motivate you to take part to any sport that you are passionate for.
